About the Role
As a  Snr Engineering Manager - Flights Post Booking , you will lead the team responsible for building MOVE's foundational systems-identity, authentication, service discovery, messaging, observability, and more. You'll be a key driver in setting technical direction, growing platform engineers, and scaling systems that serve millions of users across our travel and fintech products.

Key Responsibilities
Own and drive delivery of multiple frontend & backend teams building scalable, high-performance web and mobile applications.

Translate product & tech roadmap vision into clear engineering roadmaps and ensure timely, high-quality execution.

Build and scale strong frontend engineering teams through hiring, mentorship, and career development.

Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end customer experiences.

Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, architecture reviews, and tech debt management.

Drive continuous improvement in developer velocity, operational excellence, and platform stability.

Align with leadership on business priorities, technical strategy, and long-term technology investments.

Foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, and customer-centric engineering.

Required Qualifications
10+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years in engineering leadership roles.

Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and microservices.

Track record of driving engineering excellence, career development, and cross-team influence.

Proven leadership of backend/platform teams delivering large-scale, high-traffic applications.

Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture (GCP/AWS/Azure), microservices, and data platforms.

Proven experience designing resilient, scalable, and secure platforms at enterprise scale.

Strong leadership in system design, architecture reviews, and cross-team technical governance.

Prior Hands-on expertise in full-stack development, API design, data modeling, and infrastructure-as-code.

Strong technical background in modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.) with ability to guide architectural decisions.

Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and observability.

Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and influencing skills.

Experience driving hiring, team growth, coaching, and people leadership.

Startup experience is strongly preferred.
