Quant Engineer

K-Hawk Capital is a systematic trading firm focused on high-turnover intraday strategies across equities, futures, and index options. Our performance depends on disciplined operational control, rigorous risk management, and tight integration between quantitative research and live trading systems.
We are hiring a Quant Engineer to own and strengthen the production trading layer across our systematic strategies. This role sits at the intersection of research, trading, and infrastructure, ensuring operational reliability and disciplined capital deployment in a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Live Trading Ownership:
Full day-to-day operational management of production trading, with continuous monitoring during market hours to identify issues, enforce controls, and take immediate corrective action when necessary.

Strategy Launch & Productionization:
Lead the onboarding and deployment of new systematic strategies, coordinating across quants, engineering, management, and external counter parties from broker setup through live monitoring and capital allocation.

Operational Risk Control:
Maintain and enforce execution, exposure, and system limits; monitor intraday safeguards; and execute controlled risk reductions or position unwinds as delegated by management.

Capital & Risk Allocation Oversight:
Operate and refine allocation frameworks that distribute buying power and risk across strategies, ensuring alignment with firm-level risk parameters and dynamically adjusting based on live conditions.

P&L Integrity, Infrastructure & Tooling:
Own firm-wide P&L reconciliation and reporting across brokers and internal systems, drive the hardening and automation of production infrastructure, and leverage modern AI development tools (including familiarity with Claude Code or similar coding copilots) to accelerate debugging, deployment, monitoring, and workflow efficiency.
