Chief Information Security Officer; Fintech

Position: Chief Information Security Officer (Fintech Experience)
We are seeking a highly accomplished and forward-thinking  Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)  to lead a global information security strategy for a fast-growing cybersecurity product organization.
This leader will define, architect, and operationalize the company’s end-to-end security posture — spanning  application security, cloud security, product security, enterprise security, and regulatory compliance .
Given the organization’s product portfolio and enterprise customer base, this role is mission-critical. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in  Application Security, Cloud Security, Threat Intelligence, Secure SDLC, Dev Sec Ops , and Mobile Security , with demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale security programs in high-growth environments.

Candidates with experience in leading security for fintechs will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Strategy & Governance
Define and lead the global information security strategy, vision, and governance framework.
Establish security policies, controls, and frameworks aligned with global standards (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2, CERT-In).

2. Application & Cloud Security Leadership

Lead security across all product lines, especially mobile app security, RASP, transaction security, and cloud-native deployments.
Implement and scale Secure SDLC, Dev Sec Ops , code review practices, and security automation across engineering teams.

3. Threat Detection, Incident Response & Risk Management
Build and lead enterprise-grade threat intelligence, incident response (IR), and vulnerability management programs.
Oversee continuous monitoring, red-teaming, and penetration testing (internal & external).

4. Compliance & Regulatory Management
Oversee compliance across BFSI, Fin Tech, and global markets — including RBI, CERT-In, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
Own audit readiness, documentation, and reporting for internal and external security audits.

5. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product, Engineering, Cloud Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to embed security across the organization.
Present security posture, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team.

6. Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
Act as the senior security authority for customers, regulators, auditors, and enterprise stakeholders.
Support enterprise sales engagements by demonstrating platform security, certifications, and resilience capabilities.

7. Future-Ready Innovation
Lead adoption of advanced security technologies including AI-driven threat analytics, behavioral security, zero-trust architecture, and mobile-specific defense models.
Drive product-security innovation to strengthen the organization’s leadership in mobile and application security.

Qualifications & Experience
12–18 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity leadership roles.
Strong expertise in Application Security, Cloud Security, Mobile Security, and Dev Sec Ops .
Experience securing large-scale, cloud-native platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Proven ability to design, govern, and manage complex security programs across geographies.
Strong understanding of BFSI/Fin Tech security standards, risk frameworks, RBI guidelines, and CERT-In directives.
Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and board-level reporting skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology;
Master’s degree (MBA/MS Cybersecurity) preferred.
Certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, SABSA, ISO 27001 LA/LI.
