About
The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to join our dynamic Commerce product team. This role demands a professional with over five years of proven expertise in user-centered design, UX research, and complex problem-solving. The Senior UX Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our products by leading the development and management of our design system.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of design principles, accessibility standards, and collaborative workflows, ensuring the creation of cohesive, scalable, and engaging user interfaces.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful projects.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
Experience in developing and maintaining design systems and UI component libraries.
Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of front-end development technologies is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end strategy for the organization's design system, including the creation, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of scalable UI components.
Ensure the design system supports consistent interactions, accessibility compliance, and high-quality user experiences across all products.
Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to promote adoption and integration of the design system throughout the organization.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members on best practices for design system usage and UI/UX standards.
Continuously evaluate and enhance the design system to adapt to new technologies, industry trends, and evolving user needs.
Conduct comprehensive UX research, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and competitive analysis to gather insights into user behavior and pain points.
Translate research findings into actionable design improvements, ensuring user-centric product development.
Create detailed and engaging design deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that effectively communicate design concepts.
Participate in cross-functional team discussions to advocate for user needs and ensure design consistency across all touchpoints.
