Job Description - Mule Soft Application Support Engineer (L3) Experience 4-8 years Location Noida (ODC) Role Summary We are seeking a Mule Soft Application Support Engineer - L3 with 4-8 years of experience to provide advanced production support and development-level expertise for Mule Soft-based integration platforms in a banking environment. The L3 engineer will act as the final escalation point, handling complex incidents, root cause analysis, and enhancement requirements, with strong Mule Soft and IDP development knowledge.
Key Responsibilities L3 Production Support & Advanced Troubleshooting Act as the L3 escalation point for complex Mule Soft production issues. Perform deep root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes. Troubleshoot complex issues related to:
Mule flows and orchestration Data Weave transformations API performance and scalability JVM, memory, and threading issues Guide and mentor L1/L2 teams during critical incidents. Development & Enhancements Perform code-level fixes and enhancements in Mule Soft applications. Design and develop:
Mule 4 flows and subflows Data Weave scripts Error handling and retry mechanisms Support enhancement requests, change requirements, and continuous improvements. Participate in design reviews and impact analysis. Mule Soft IDP Responsibilities Provide advanced support and enhancement for Mule Soft Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex IDP issues such as: OCR accuracy problems Classification and extraction model failures Performance and scalability challenges Enhance and tune IDP workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Support integration of IDP with downstream banking systems. Guide L1/L2 teams on IDP-related incidents. Platform, Banking & Compliance Manage deployments on Cloud Hub / Runtime Fabric / On-Prem Mule runtimes. Configure API Manager policies and security (OAuth, JWT, TLS). Support integrations for core banking, payments, AML/KYC, and other banking systems. Ensure adherence to banking security, compliance, and audit standards. Participate in release management, DR drills, and production readiness reviews.
Operational Excellence Own problem management and preventive actions. Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks. Participate in 24x7 on-call and rotational support. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and vendor teams. Required
Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills 4-8 years of IT experience with strong Mule Soft L3 support and development expertise. Deep hands-on experience with Mule 4 and Data Weave 2.x. Strong experience with Mule Soft Intelligent Document Processing (IDP). Expertise in REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns.
Experience with performance tuning, log analysis, and troubleshooting production issues. Good understanding of Linux/Unix, networking, and JVM concepts. Process & Soft Skills Strong understanding of ITIL processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to handle P1/P2 incidents in high-pressure environments. Ability to mentor junior engineers. Operational Requirement This role requires readiness to provide 24x7 production support from the Noida ODC.
Support will be rotational, including weekends, based on operational needs. Flexibility to work in shifts and provide on-call support is mandatory.
