Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Test Automation Lead to lead quality assurance efforts across Salesforce platforms. This role will be responsible for defining test strategy, driving automation initiatives, and coordinating testing activities within an Agile delivery model. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce functional knowledge, strong test automation expertise, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Salesforce test automation strategy, framework design, and execution.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for Salesforce applications.
- Own test planning, test strategy, and overall QA governance for Salesforce initiatives.
- Guide and mentor QA engineers and testers across onshore/offshore teams.
- Partner closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Act as the primary QA point of contact, providing clear status updates, risk assessments, and quality metrics to leadership.
- Ensure testing aligns with Agile/Scrum delivery processes and sprint timelines.
- Manage test execution, defect lifecycle, and reporting using Jira and test management tools.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation coverage, test efficiency, and release quality.
- Support integration, regression, UAT, and release testing efforts.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall testing experience with strong focus on Salesforce test automation.
- Deep Salesforce functional knowledge (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, custom objects, workflows, flows, integrations).
- Hands-on experience building and leading test automation frameworks for Salesforce.
- Strong expertise in test planning, test strategy, and QA leadership.
- Proven experience working in Agile environments.
- Extensive experience with Jira and test management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools such as Provar, Selenium, TestNG, or similar Salesforce automation frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform App Builder, QA-focused certifications).
