Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced MDM Application / Service Manager to set up and manage a new Informatica MDM service within our organization. This role is responsible for defining the service model, operational processes, governance, and day-to-day management of the Informatica MDM platform.
The application is currently non-business-critical but is a strategic platform expected to scale in the future. The candidate should be comfortable building services from scratch and owning the platform end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
Service Setup & Governance
Define and establish the MDM service framework, including scope, ownership, and support model.
Create and maintain SOPs / runbooks for:
o Incident, problem, and change management
o Release and deployment activities
o Data onboarding, match & merge, survivorship, and hierarchy management o Access management,audits, and compliance
Define SLAs, KPIs, service dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
Set up a clear Escalation Matrix with severity levels and response timelines.
Establish RACI models across business, IT, and vendor teams.
Service Operations & Platform Ownership
Own end-to-end application and service management for the Informatica MDM
platform.
Act as the single point of contact and accountability for MDM service health and availability.
Manage incidents, major incidents, RCA, and preventive actions.
Drive continuous service improvement and operational maturity.
Plan and manage upgrades, patches, releases, and environment activities.
Build and manage the MDM support / operations team as the service grows.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
Establish data governance and data stewardship operating processes.
Define workflows for data creation, approval, publishing, and issue resolution.
Own service communications including:
o Regular stakeholder updates and service reviews o Incident and major incident communications
o Change and release notifications
Lead service review meetings with business and IT stakeholders.
Mandatory Skills & Experience Technical
8–12 years of overall IT experience.
4–5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Informatica MDM, including:
o Informatica MDM Hub o IDD
o Match & Merge
o Provisioning Tool
Experience in data domain modeling (Customer, Product, Supplier, Reference Data).
Exposure to Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) is preferred.
Experience with batch and real-time integrations (REST, SOAP, messaging).
Good understanding of MDM architecture, data lifecycle, and survivorship concepts.
Service & Leadership
Prior experience in application/service management or platform ownership roles.
Proven ability to define and operationalize services from scratch.
Strong documentation skills (SOPs, runbooks, escalation matrices).
Excellent communication skills with business, IT, and vendors.
Experience managing cross-functional and offshore/onshore teams.
Calm and structured approach during production issues and escalations.
Preferred
Informatica MDM / IDQ certification.
ITIL Foundation or higher.
Experience setting up new platforms, services, or COEs.
Exposure to cloud or hybrid MDM environments.
