Oracle EBS PPM (Projects Portfolio Management) Techno-Functional Consultant / Architect combine deep functional knowledge of project lifecycle processes with technical prowess in customizations and integrations within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12. This remote role targets professionals with at least 12 years of consulting experience, requiring exceptional English communication skills and the ability to comprehend Australian accents in client interactions.
Role Overview
The consultant drives implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and support for Oracle PPM modules, including Projects Foundation, Costing, Billing, Resource Management, and Portfolio Management, with integrations to Financials (GL, AP/AR), HR, and SCM. Responsibilities span full lifecycle using AIM/OUM methodology: requirements workshops, solution architecture, configuration, development, testing, go-live support, and ongoing optimization in remote, global delivery models.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather and analyze business requirements for project controls, budgeting, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and resource allocation; design and document functional (MD50) and technical (MD70) specifications.
• Configure project types, templates, expenditure types, revenue budgets, invoicing rules, and cross-charge processing; develop extensions using PL/SQL, APIs (e.g., _UTILS), Forms/Reports, Workflows, and OAF personalizations.
• Perform data migrations, UAT coordination, user training, performance tuning, incident resolution, and month-end reconciliations; ensure compliance with ITSM processes and project governance.
Required Experience and Skills
• 12+ years in Oracle EBS consulting, with 8+ years techno-functional on PPM suite:
Projects Foundation (core), Costing/Billing, Planning & Controls, Contracts, Resource Mgmt.; exposure to P6 integration or Grants Management preferred.
• Technical:
Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL, Oracle Forms/Reports 10g/11g, XML Publisher, Workflow Builder, APIs (_PUB, PJC_*), EBS security profiles, and diagnostics tools.
• Functional:
Expertise in project hierarchies, capital/non-capital projects, burdening, time/phasing, EVM metrics, portfolio analytics, and industry practices (e.g., engineering/construction, professional services).
Soft Skills and Other Requirements
• Superior English proficiency (spoken/written) for stakeholder workshops, documentation, and training; demonstrated ease with Australian accents via virtual calls (e.g., Teams).
• Strong consulting mindset:
Lead remote teams, manage client expectations independently, handle ambiguity with urgency; PMP or PRINCE2 certification highly valued.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; ability to work flexible APAC hours
