Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, the Calibration & Repair Technician (f/m/d) is an on‑site member of our Delft Service Team, working in our calibration laboratory in Delft, NL. You will focus on the calibration of OTT Hydro Met Pyranometers and support related logistics and administrative steps to ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll collaborate closely with experienced colleagues and learn directly from R&D. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values curiosity, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to grow your technical skills and advance your career within OTT Hydro Met and the wider Veralto organization.
In this role, a typical day will look like:Responding to customer technical questions with confidence and clarity — especially regarding solar radiometers and trackers
Working closely with R&D and Operations by capturing and sharing customer insights that help drive product improvements
Inspecting instruments, preparing detailed reports, and creating cost estimates
Owning the full service workflow: administration, work orders, materials, and customer communication
Performing troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, optical, and mechanical components following established procedures
Executing precise calibrations in our Delft calibration lab
Preparing completed instruments and coordinating with logistics to ensure smooth delivery to customers
Every day brings variety — hands‑on work, technical problem solving, and meaningful collaboration with experts across the business.
The essential requirements of the job include:Education in electronics, telecommunication technologies, or equivalent practical experience
Ability to confidently read and understand technical drawings and documentation
Experience with soldering, multimeters, and repair tools — a strong plus
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent English skills are mandatory and conversational Dutch is a plus
