Job Description & How to Apply Below

As a Lead Electronics Engineer in our Power Systems product line group, you will play a key role in developing advanced electronic solutions and power conditioning units for small satellites. Beyond your technical expertise, you will act as a mentor and guide for junior- and mid-level engineers, sharing best practices and helping them grow into independent designers. You will balance rigor with pragmatism, ensuring that our designs meet industry standards while keeping development lean and efficient.

Specific

tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Lead the design, review, and verification of electronic circuits for space power systems.

  • Guide and coach less experienced engineers in PCB layout, schematic design, and design-for-manufacture.

  • Ensure compliance with IPC Class 3 and apply ECSS standards pragmatically to fit our development approach.

  • Perform and review design analyses (signal integrity, power integrity, thermal integrity).

  • Collaborate closely with embedded firmware-, systems-, and mechanical engineers as well as project managers.

  • Contribute to design reviews, bringing both technical depth and mentorship to the table.

  • Support manufacturing and test teams in resolving issues and improving build quality.

Qualifications:
  • BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in electronics design, preferably including power electronics and/or safety‑critical systems.

  • Strong proficiency in IPC Class 3 and understanding of ECSS standards.

  • Proficiency in Altium Designer.

  • Experience with circuit Simulation (SPICE).

  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop younger engineers.

  • Pragmatic mindset: knowing when to follow the book, and when to adapt.

  • Experience with space or aerospace hardware development, or other high-reliability domains (medical, automotive, defense).

  • Familiarity with “design for testing” and environmental qualification practices.

Bonus point if you also bring:
  • Certification CID/CID+

  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC

Why should you join us?
