GeneralPurpose:
Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.
Essential Duties:- Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintains inventory records.
- Assists department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu.
- Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
- Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
- Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory, sales reports, cleaning, and restocking.
- Utilizes Point of Sales System.
- Reviews schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
- Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
- Prepare and serve snacks and bar-style food items.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs Other Duties As Required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must meet state age requirements (21+) for handling alcoholic beverages.
Preferred Requirements:Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g. Toast)
Physical Demands:Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.
Certificates/Licenses:- TIPS Certified
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace
- Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values
- Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Sea Colony employees, clients and vendors
- Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding
