Street Maintenance & Repair Technician Series

Overview

Under the immediate supervision of the Division Supervisor and under the general supervision of the Superintendent, perform semi-skilled and skilled labor in the maintenance, construction, repair and service work of City streets, rights-of-way, alleys, medians and storm water inlets as well as snow and ice control operations. May be assigned to any division within the Public Works Department as a substitute for individuals on vacation, sick leave, etc.,

or during heavy workload periods. This position is subject to emergency callouts and must be able to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends and stand-by, as required.

Position will be filled as a Technician I, Technician II or Technician III, dependent upon the needs of the department and the qualifications/experience of the preferred candidate.
