People in Need, Inc. of Delaware County Ohio has been serving Delaware County residents since 1981. We provide emergency services that address food insecurity and housing stability. Our services include: a drive-through food pantry, weekend backpack program, senior commodity box program, produce markets, mobile markets, eviction prevention, utility assistance, annual shoe program for children each school year and bus passes for those individuals and families living at 200% above the Federal Poverty Line and below.
Our staff of 7 along with 105+ volunteers weekly work together to address the needs of 10,000+ residents in Delaware County. Weekly, we serve 500 households in a friendly, encouraging environment to help our neighbors through difficult times and move towards stability. As an organization, we are committed to meeting the growing demands of the community through our essential programs. As we create the physical infrastructure, we also need to bolster fundraising and awareness in the community, ensuring continued support for both current and future programming. As our VISTA member, you will identify growth opportunities through research and community engagement, writing grants and conducting media outreach across mediums.
This role will allow us to execute sustainable strategies to move us towards serving larger populations as the county grows. Play a critical role in our expansion today! Benefits include a monthly $200 housing stipend to supplement living costs.
