Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Del-Mor Dwellings is a non‑profit developer and manager of supportive housing for over 140 persons living with disabling mental illness in Delaware, Morrow, and Crawford County, in Ohio. While we provide independent living opportunities for adults that may not otherwise find their place in the community, we also staff our sites with caring and competent staff who are dedicated to providing safe, stable, healthy living environments for our residents.
We are seeking one dynamic and detail‑oriented person for communications, graphic design, and Public Relations/ Marketing tasks. This is a hands‑on opportunity to contribute to organizational messaging, marketing materials, HR initiatives, social media, and publications while gaining real‑world experience in a professional environment. This position will run through the 2026 academic year and potentially extend into the summer and or fall semester.
Candidates should be current students or recently graduated.
You’ll collaborate with departments including Administration, HR, Operations, and our Resident Support Department to ensure that messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s goals.
Key Responsibilities Messaging & Content Creation- Assist in developing consistent messaging across internal and external communications.
- Draft talking points, newsletter content, announcements, and other written materials.
- Contribute to the development of internal publications such as newsletters, memos, and updates.
- Assist in writing and updating department handbooks, training manuals, and program guides.
- Help design and produce print and digital marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, and promotional collateral.
- Support the creation and distribution of organizational publications and reports.
- Develop promotional strategies to support programs, events, and community engagement.
- Proofread and edit content for clarity, grammar, and tone.
- Assist in managing and updating the organization’s Facebook page and other social platforms.
- Create and schedule content aligned with the communications calendar.
- Help develop and maintain social media pages for specific programs or campaigns.
- Monitor social media engagement and analytics; recommend ways to increase reach and impact.
- Support website updates, including refreshing text, uploading images, and ensuring information is current.
- Update the news and events pages regularly with accurate and timely information.
- Work with Resident Support department to gather, create and post monthly meal calendars and activity calendars.
- Assist Human Resources with drafting and distributing employee surveys and collecting results.
- Help create internal announcements, highlight staff milestones, and promote company culture.
- Contribute to the design and distribution of the internal staff newsletter.
- Support onboarding communications by helping prepare training guides and reference materials.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of communications.
- Organize content calendars and help maintain consistency in messaging and branding.
- Maintain a shared library of updated communication materials, handbooks, and marketing assets.
- Currently enrolled preferably in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, PR, or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (especially Facebook); experience with Canva, Microsoft Office, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Able to take initiative, work independently, and manage multiple tasks.
- Gain experience in developing communication strategies and messaging.
- Build a professional portfolio of marketing and publication work, including handbooks, brochures, and digital content.
- Learn about internal and external communications processes within a multi‑department organization.
