Overview
Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant. This role is essential in supporting providers during patient visits, ensuring efficient clinical operations, and delivering compassionate care.
Responsibilities- Assist with provider visits:
Prepare exam rooms, ensure supplies are stocked, and support providers during examinations and procedures. - Room patients:
Welcome patients, verify information, record vital signs, document medical history, and prepare them for provider evaluation. - Venipuncture:
Perform blood draws accurately, label specimens, and ensure proper handling for laboratory submission. - Point-of-care testing:
Conduct routine diagnostic tests (e.g., glucose, urinalysis, rapid strep), record results, and communicate findings promptly.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Certification as CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or eligibility to obtain certification.
- High School Diploma/ General Education Diploma
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Previous Experience as Medical Assistant
- In-person interview preferred to assess communication skills, professionalism, and clinical competency.
