The Environmental Services Associate role is dedicated to cleaning and maintaining defined areas within the organization, providing customer service to all occupants, and supporting departmental processes through efficient cleaning tasks.
Job Description SummaryEnvironmental Service Associates clean and maintain patient rooms, public areas, and service areas. Tasks are assigned via an automated system, assignment sheet, or verbal direction. The position requires adherence to organizational processes, completion of related paperwork, and use of department equipment.
Responsibilities And Duties- 40% – Obtain and complete cleaning or maintenance requests from the automated system, daily assignment sheet, or verbal direction. Move beds or furniture as needed to serve customers or execute the cleaning process. Follow departmental processes and complete monitoring paperwork.
- 20% – Use all department equipment properly; ensure cleanliness. Notify the appropriate area through the work order process and maintain defined paperwork to keep equipment and miscellaneous items in order.
- 10% – Keep all assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate operating levels, including linen distribution.
- 10% – Perform other duties as assigned, such as storeroom maintenance to maintain hospital cleanliness and safety standards.
- 20% – Demonstrate high level of customer service to patients and other customers throughout the organization.
- No degree or diploma required.
- High School Diploma/GED is not required.
- Individuals aged 16-18 with an applicable work permit may be considered.
