REGISTERED NURSE – CLINICAL DECISION UNIT (CDU)

Location: Salisbury, MD
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, telemetry-monitored environment focused on cardiac and peripheral vascular patients. This unit manages cardiac and cardiac/peripheral vascular procedures with continuous telemetry monitoring and limited critical infusions. The CDU RN functions as a patient advocate and delivers care in accordance with ANA Standards and the Nursing Process.

SHIFT DETAILS
  • Days, evenings, nights, or combination per departmental policy
  • Required weekend rotation based on unit needs
  • Scheduled off at least three holidays per year
  • Occasional overtime as needed
COMPENSATION & INCENTIVES
  • Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Relocation reimbursement up to $2,500

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Provide continuous telemetry monitoring and nursing care for cardiac and vascular patients
  • Administer medications and manage limited critical infusions
  • Educate patients and families on self-care, treatment plans, and discharge needs
  • Utilize clinical equipment and technology safely and competently
  • Act as a patient advocate while supporting interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Maintain compliance with clinical standards, policies, and safety protocols
REQUIREMENTS
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of permanent residency
  • American Heart Association BLS (required)
  • ACLS required within 12 months of employment
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification obtained during orientation
  • Strong cardiac/telemetry nursing foundation preferred
