Be the force that keeps our facility running strong. As a Facilities Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the buildings, systems, and grounds that support our daily operations. From inspecting and repairing electrical and plumbing systems to tackling general building maintenance, your work ensures a safe, reliable, and well-functioning environment. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team and trusted vendors to keep the plant operating efficiently and ready for what’s next.

2:00pm-11:00pm

• Conduct routine maintenance of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure i.e., painting, general carpentry, floor repairs, installing general office equipment, lighting. Develop preventative maintenance schedules.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building codes, identifying potential hazards.
• Diagnose issues with building systems and equipment, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Respond to plant related emergencies, such as power outages, floods, and weather threats.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand plant needs and address concerns promptly.
• Ensures a safe and clean environment for all associates.
• Works all required work schedules.

• High School Diploma or GED High School Diploma or GED and Equivalent Experience.
• 3-5 Years Experience in related field.
• Maintains Perdue Farms QEW Certification.
• Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.

• 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, lifting (50 lbs.) and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day.
• Position requires occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
• Day travel to nearby locations is sometimes required.
• May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.

• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing plant.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
