Starting rate: $16.25/hour. Base pay range: $16.25/hr – $16.50/hr.

• Testing for tuberculosis at time of hire
• Physical exam

• Daily routine care (feeding, grooming, bathing)
• Light shopping and housekeeping
• Conversing with client to provide assurance
• Meal preparation and clean up
• Reporting incidents, complaints, concerns to agency immediately
• Other responsibilities as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year experience with seniors in a home setting preferred
• English proficiency and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Ability to work with different personality types professionally
• Three references required
• Proof of clear TB/PPD test taken within last year
• Must be able to pass background check
• CNA, HHA, and BLS/CPR certifications a plus

The physical demands vary per client and may include:

• Transferring client
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting more than 10lbs
• Recurrent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching could be mandatory

Direct care workers work out of the client’s home.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
