Qualifications- Hold or be eligible for a license and certification as Secondary English Language Arts Teacher in accordance with 14?

C.§1540 preferred. - Experience as a high school teacher preferred.

- Provide high quality standards-based and student-centered instruction to high school students.
- Work cooperatively with all staff and students; participate as an integral member of the content area department to plan instructional goals, methods, curriculum and assessments.
- Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the district.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques including the use of instructional media to ensure student engagement, motivation, and success.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policies and administrative regulations.
- Maintain an organized classroom environment and practice sound interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, students, and families.
- Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning both academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.
- Participate as a member in the Professional Learning Community, including Academy meetings and activities.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans for students, including supports and accommodations.
- Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations and Board policies.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Seek to integrate lessons with technical areas and across disciplines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Daily rate of pay from start date to June 5, 2026. Temporary at-will position.
Salary and BenefitsThis is not a pension or benefit eligible position. $230 daily pay rate.
