Substitute Nutrition Services

Location: Seaford School District - District Office (High‑Needs School)

Reports To: Supervisor of Nutrition Services

Responsibilities: Substitute in the school cafeterias when regular Nutrition Services employees are absent.

Physical and Mental Demands / Work Hazards: Works in a school cafeteria.

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Additional materials required for employment: TB Test within one year, proof of education, driver’s license, and Social Security Card.

Application Procedure: Interested and qualified candidates should complete an online application.

Special Conditions of Employment
  • All new state employees will be required to participate in the State of Delaware's Direct Deposit system.
  • Final candidates must have a satisfactory criminal background check. Candidates may contact Delaware State Police; the cost of $65 is borne by the applicant.
  • Final candidates must also receive a satisfactory child protection registry check.
  • Final candidates must produce documentation of Mantoux skin test results for entrance to the school system.
  • The State of Delaware has initiated a lag pay policy. New employees will receive the first paycheck at the end of the second pay period of work.
