- Experience as a high school math teacher preferred.
- Provide high quality standards-based and student-centered instruction to high school students.
- Work cooperatively with all staff and students. Participate as an integral member of content area department to plan instructional goals, methods, curriculum and assessments.
- Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the district.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques including the use of instructional media to ensure student engagement, motivation, and success.
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policies and administrative regulations.
- Maintain organized classroom environment and practice sound interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, students, and families.
- Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.
- Participate as a member in the Professional Learning Community including Academy meetings and activities.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans for students that include appropriate supports and accommodations.
- Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations and Board policies.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Seek to integrate lessons with technical areas as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ten (10) month teacher position. (188 days/year)
Salary and BenefitsPension and benefit eligible position. Salary commensurate with verified qualifications and experience according to state and local salary schedules. Salary range: $59,272 - $114,009.
