Substitute Teachers for Elementary, Middle and High School,  School Year.

Background/fingerprinting check, Child Protection Registry check and TB test required.

As needed throughout the  school year. This is a casual/seasonal position during the 10-month school year.

• Provide backup support for teachers who are absent.
• Implement lesson plans and learning objectives set by teachers and provide the monitoring of students, classroom management, and facilitation of classroom activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Must be 20 years of age.
• Child Protection Registry check showing you are not on the registry at any level.
• Mantoux skin test/PPD documentation.
• Cooperative Attitude.
• Good oral and written communication and the ability to present information effectively.
• The State of Delaware requires all public school employees to undergo a criminal background check (state and federal) to determine suitability for employment.
• Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check, which is the responsibility of the employee.
• The State of Delaware requires new employees to be paid by direct deposit and to be part of a lag payroll system as conditions of employment.

• Class A:
  Licensed/Certified Teacher -$179/full day
• Class B:
  Bachelor's/Associates Degree -$143/full day
• Class C:
  High School diploma or GED -$113/full day
