Learn more:  As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents.

You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while providing a customer service focused presence. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards and/or unusual conditions.
• Control access through gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic in accordance with site policies.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, monitor alarms and/or cameras when assigned, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
