Job Title

Polisher – Delavan, WI

OPPORTUNITY SNAPSHOT

Join our team and grow with SPX Flow. We have a direct hire, full‑time, permanent opening for an experienced Polisher in Delavan. Work 1st shift (7am‑3pm) or 2nd shift (3pm‑11pm) with training on 1st shift. Competitive wage, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package effective day one.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base pay: $20.50‑$22.50/hr (dependent on experience)
  • Shift premiums: $2.50 for 2nd shift, $2.75 for 3rd shift
  • $1,500 sign‑on bonus (subject to successful completion of introductory performance expectations)
  • Over three weeks paid time off annually
Job Summary

Produce an I.D. and/or O.D. finish on a variety of stainless‑steel parts and products to meet 3A standards or pharmaceutical industry requirements (15 RMS or better). Employee must also deburr parts or assemblies and wash as necessary, using various polishing tools such as abrasive belts, bobs, and hand tools.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Polish to specifications on the work order to produce line instructions on parts/products.
  • Set up I.D. or O.D. polishing lathes or hand grinding equipment to run a specified task.
  • Inspect work for defects in polish areas (pits, cracks, poor weld quality) and repair as necessary to conform to specifications.
  • Repair any welded or material flaws detected by welding or inspection.
  • Deburr and wash threaded or non‑rounded machined parts as needed.
  • Enter labor time and piece counts on the computer for accurate labor recording.

  • Ability to read, write, and process all instructions, written or verbal.
  • Ability to use lifting and moving equipment as required.
  • Good manual dexterity and eyesight.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use all required tools, inspection equipment, and gauges.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Quality‑oriented mindset, high attention to detail.
  • Can complete all tasks safely and accurately.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and alter hours to meet business needs.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of polishing experience (preferred).

Physical Demands

Regularly required to walk, reach, talk, hear, stand, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, and occasionally sit. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Working Conditions

Occasional work near moving mechanical parts. Noise level usually moderate. Specific PPE is required within the cell.
