Overview

The mission of the Nina

B. Hollis Institute for Educational Reform (NBHIER) at Stetson University is to stimulate innovations for the advancement of all, particularly birth through grade 12 and non-traditional learners, relating to creating educational opportunities for all through research and applied partnerships. The Institute focuses on outreach and dissemination to address ways in which race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, English proficiency, community wealth, familial situations, and other factors contribute to or perpetuate lower educational aspirations, achievement, and attainment for affected groups of students.

The Nina

B. Hollis Institute for Educational Reform at Stetson seeks a University Project Manager. The Project Manager is a full-time position that performs professional and administrative work to advance the goals of the Institute initiatives. This position will be responsible for the overall management of the activities and initiatives of the Institute.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Employment duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Initiate, coordinate, and manage strategies to implement the activities set forth in the mission and vision of the Hollis Institute
  • Prepare meetings and conduct follow-up consultations
  • Maintain, compile, and analyze data to regularly monitor progress towards the Hollis project goals, indicators, and awards
  • Maintain, compile, and analyze data to monitor the impact of training conducted by Leadership Center trainers
  • Prepare scheduled progress reports and summaries to share with the Institute’s Executive Board, Steering Committee, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, and Provost
  • Facilitate communications with multiple audiences
  • Conduct and compile related research
  • Monitor and update NBHIER website and assist with other related program-related websites for internal and external audiences
  • Coordinate and support donor, district, and school partnership activities
  • Write and edit budget and donor related reports, summaries, annual newsletters and other materials
  • Conduct in person and virtual presentations/meetings
  • Successfully monitor feedback to identify/resolve problems and meet project needs
  • Budgeting
    • Monitor all expenditures for multiple budgets with SU Finance Office utilizing Banner
    • Assist with creating multiple annual budgets for NBHIER, Impact Awards, Leadership Center, and the Journal
    • Monitor, track and report financial progress of Hollis Institute, incubator, and other internal and external initiatives under the oversight of the Hollis Institute
  • Prepare quarterly budget and recommendations for amendments
  • Prepare semiannual progress reports
  • Prepare annual report and maintain files for the NBHIER
  • Assist with proposal development and grant post-award activities as the need arises
  • Serve as the liaison to other university offices, to include the Provost’s Office, Marketing, Dean’s Office, and Finance
  • Coordinate travel for NBHIER Steering Council members as needed
  • Promote Impact Awards including timeline for submissions
  • Plan and coordinate Institute and Leadership Center events
  • Provide direct support to the Nina

    B. Hollis Chair, Institute Executive Board and Steering Committee
  • Coordinate the work of committee members, other faculty/staff, outside consultants, project participants and partner groups to successfully implement activities
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables
  • Regularly reconcile all budgets
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Perform other site and position specific functions as assigned
