Overview This posting describes a night-shift custodian lead role at Daytona State College with supervisory responsibilities across facilities and multiple campuses. The college is an equal opportunity employer and offers benefits and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities and Supervision

• Supervise and evaluate assigned custodial employees.
• Conduct building inspections and campus visits.
• Train new employees on equipment, safety protocols, and cleaning standards.
• Oversee multiple campuses to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
• Travel to campuses as scheduled and manage work order requests.

Custodial Tasks

• Clean classrooms, labs, offices, restrooms, gymnasiums, and amphitheaters.
• Address other areas as assigned.

Required Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of two (2) years of recent and verifiable custodial building cleaning and floor maintenance experience, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity, is required. Candidate must have transportation to report to other college locations as assigned. A valid Florida Driver’s License is required to drive College vehicles when necessary.

Working Hours: Normal hours are 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Various shifts and locations may be assigned based on College needs. Candidates must be able to report for additional hours, weekends, evenings, and/or holidays as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Requires walking, standing, stooping, stretching, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting; exerting at least 20 pounds of force repeatedly.
• Comfortable with indoor and outdoor temperatures.
• Ability to follow oral and/or written communications.
• Basic computer knowledge to clock in/out and view personnel information.
