About the roleProduct Test & Calibration in Manufacturing sets up, aligns, monitors, and calibrates production equipment, assists with maintenance, and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned areas.
Job SummaryThe Sr Technician in Product Test & Calibration provides preventative maintenance and technical support to improve equipment efficiency, minimize downtime, keeps records and databases updated, performs general repairs and installations, and assists in training.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and perform unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and modifications on assigned equipment as needed and document changes as required by operating procedures.
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment and provide instruction to Maintenance personnel during the process.
- Provide technical assistance as requested and arrange for support if necessary.
- Ensure proper set‑up of facilities equipment according to procedures and product specifications at the completion of assigned tasks.
- Observe plant regulations and use personal protective equipment as required.
- Transport hazardous waste to accumulation areas.
- Be on a Call In/On Call status when needed.
- 2-4 years of experience, preferred.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for the entire shift.
- Comfort working with heights regularly.
- Apply knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training and certifications.
- Work on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues.
- May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments.
- Adhere to all quality guidelines.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor.
- May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members.
Anticipated hourly range: $24.25 - $30.25 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential).
