Overview
Description
Devereux Florida provides programs and services for children and adolescents in the child welfare and foster care system. Based out of Deland, FL, this position is responsible for recruitment and initial licensure and re-licensure of foster homes, visiting foster homes, and providing training and support to foster parents.
Position Details:
Salary: Starts at $24.04 - 28.23 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience)
Schedule: Full-Time; community based position - works around families schedules.

Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Social Services or related field (required)
Experience:
- Two years experience working with foster families (preferred)
- Prior foster home licensing experience a plus
Other Requirements:
- Certification as a Child Welfare Licensing Counselor by the Florida Certification Board OR provisional certification with completion of PRIDE training (required)
- Valid FL driver s license (required)
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings including Drug Test and TB Test
- Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida
- Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing; some lifting and/or resistance related to applying physical intervention techniques (up to 75-100 lbs or more); repetitive wrist/hand movements; normal hearing and vision
