Custodian
- Part Time role at Chenega Professional Services Strategic Business Unit. Support CBP sites in the Del Rio Sector with custodial services, lands and grounds maintenance, and pest control, to be performed within the normal five to seven-day week observed by building occupants.

• Sweep all non-carpeted floor surface areas, including corners and abutments; remove spills, trash, litter, dust, and debris. Move chairs, trash receptacles, and movable items to sweep underneath and return to original positions.
• Damp mop and spray buff flooring areas; ensure floors are clean and free of dirt, water streaks, rust stains, mop marks, gum, grease, tar, and other debris.
• Apply a uniform and non-slip floor finish coating; mop and remove splash marks on furniture, walls, and baseboards; ensure no wax buildup in corners or near carpeted areas.
• Strip and wax hard surface floors; apply a new base coat of wax as needed and buff for a glossy finish; ensure even coverage and no residue in corners or near carpeted areas.
• Vacuum carpeted areas; clean entrance mats; ensure soil and moisture are removed from underneath mats and mats are returned to place.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpet as needed to maintain cleanliness and color definition; remove stains where required.
• Empty and return all wastebaskets and receptacles; replace liners and dispose of trash properly in dumpsters on site or approved locations.
• Dust all surfaces of furniture, ledges, window sills, and handrails; ensure corners and crevices are free of dust.
• Dust and clean mirrors and glass surfaces; ensure no film, dirt, smudges, or cloudiness.
• Clean porcelain or stainless-steel surfaces and drinking fountains.
• Perform spot cleaning and disinfect restrooms, locker rooms, break areas, and drinking fountains with germicidal detergents; ensure surfaces are clean and uniform.
• Disinfect surfaces of partitions, stalls, toilets, urinals, lavatories, showers, dispensers, and related areas.
• De-scale toilet bowls and urinals; unclog toilets as needed.
• Restock paper supplies and soap; maintain clean and well-supplied areas.
• Perform high dusting, including venetian blinds, ceiling fans, and air vents.
• Clean interior and exterior window surfaces; ensure no traces of film or dirt.
• Clean light fixtures; replace burned-out bulbs within 8 hours of occurrence.
• Clean grounds, landscape beds, driveways, parking areas, and sidewalks; hose down outdoor areas as needed.
• Maintain lawns: mow, trim, fertilize, water, and remove grass clippings; manage weeds and ensure tidy appearance.
• Rake leaves and manage seasonal lawn maintenance; trim shrubs, hedges, and trees as needed.
• Clean kennel areas in coordination with K9 personnel as appropriate.
• Maintain parking lots and driveways; remove debris, weeds, and gravel; address safety hazards with appropriate materials as needed.
• Provide pest control according to the pest management plan, including application of pesticides as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum qualifications:
  
  ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily; skills and abilities to perform cleaning tasks.
• Background check, e-Quip process, credit check, and drug screening required; e-Quip process may take up to 6 months to finalize; favorable E-Quip results required before start.

• Thu & Fri 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sat & Sun 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with possible additional hours on weekends
