Administrative Assistant AA – PRN (Part‑time)
Altus Community Healthcare – Del Rio, TX.
Job OverviewFront‑desk Administrative Assistant to support the emergency center’s operations, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- Maintain efficient workflow of all front‑desk receptionist duties.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, OSHA, fire safety, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient-related issues and comply with HIPAA rules.
- Use effective, courteous, and professional communication methods in person, over the telephone, and in written correspondence.
- Explain procedures, treatments, and care while managing language barriers and providing a non‑judgmental environment.
- Maintain a business‑casual, professional appearance and wear an emergency center identification badge at all times.
- Attend mandatory emergency center meetings and in‑service education sessions.
- Remain flexible in staffing patterns, resolve staffing conflicts, and participate in temporary assignments.
- Comply with attendance standards and demonstrate flexibility when assignments change.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of office experience in a health‑care setting (preferred).
- Previous customer‑service experience (preferred).
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of basic medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
