Position Description

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is hiring Permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Forklift Operators for the 1st Shift in Dekalb, Illinois.

  • Hourly Pay: $20.30 per hour
  • Schedule:

    Three‑and‑a‑half day workweek (Sunday–Tuesday 5:15 am to 4:45 pm; Wednesday 5:15 am to 11:15 am)

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid Forklift Operator’s License (certified)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse environment
  • Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
  • Performs work independently with minimal supervision; high initiative and accuracy under pressure
  • Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, and work using health and safety methods
  • Must be available for flexible schedules on various shifts
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and truck loading/unloading
  • Manage day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
