Pay Rate$22.29/hour base + $1.25 shift differential
Total Pay$23.54/hour
Summary DescriptionReporting directly to the Manager, this role supports essential Quality Control department functions. Responsibilities may vary by level and are not all inclusive. Employees are expected to perform all duties assigned by management, whether or not specifically listed. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting food safety systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing- Conduct required off-line product testing
- Ensure customer feedback is completed on time, root cause is identified, and corrective actions are implemented
- Analyze customer feedback for trends and continuous improvement opportunities
- Participate in corrective and preventive action processes
- Assist with process capability studies as needed
- Assist and/or train plant personnel in the GIQ quality system
- Support maintenance of customer property processes
- Assist with document control processes
- Prepare and document COAs and COCs as required
- Participate in customer visits
- Define and apply quality concepts and statistical tools
- Interpret quality data and apply team-based problem‑solving concepts
- Support the food safety team in maintaining and updating the food safety management system
- Report on food safety system effectiveness to leadership when applicable
- Select and properly use measurement and test equipment (M&TE)
- Understand standards traceability for M&TE tools
- Apply inspection and testing techniques, including sampling plans
- Participate in various quality audit types and processes
- Control nonconforming material
- You have prior quality experience
- You have experience performing audits
- You have basic computer skills
- You can work independently and as part of a team
- You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- You can clearly define problems verbally and in writing
