Bed Management Registered Nurse – Clinical Admission RN.
Responsibilities- Serve as an access point resource for physicians, staff, and patients.
- Assist with the recommendation for the most appropriate level of care and patient status.
- Apply approved criteria and guidelines in decision making, and to payers such as managed care rules and practices.
- Ensure a smooth admission experience for patients by coordinating clinical needs with operational processes and insurance benefits.
Required
- Associate's degree in nursing
- At least 3–5 years of experience in patient care in a hospital setting, including utilization management, admissions, discharge planning, and/or case management
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong foundation of clinical knowledge
- Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate efficiency
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer‑service skills
- Ability to learn computer skills in Microsoft Word, EMR, and Midas systems within 30 days
- Multi‑task quickly and process accurately
- Current RN license in the state of Illinois
