The salary range for this position is $38.50 - $61.60 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range depends on experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement follows the collective bargaining agreement.

Bed Management Registered Nurse – Clinical Admission RN.

• Serve as an access point resource for physicians, staff, and patients.
• Assist with the recommendation for the most appropriate level of care and patient status.
• Apply approved criteria and guidelines in decision making, and to payers such as managed care rules and practices.
• Ensure a smooth admission experience for patients by coordinating clinical needs with operational processes and insurance benefits.

Required

• Associate's degree in nursing
• At least 3–5 years of experience in patient care in a hospital setting, including utilization management, admissions, discharge planning, and/or case management
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong foundation of clinical knowledge
• Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate efficiency
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer‑service skills
• Ability to learn computer skills in Microsoft Word, EMR, and Midas systems within 30 days
• Multi‑task quickly and process accurately
• Current RN license in the state of Illinois
