Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our HVAC Division, focusing on Data Center projects. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating project preparations and executions to meet cost, quality, equipment utilization, and safety objectives.

Responsibilities

* Acquire new business opportunities by developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

* Conduct presentations to prospective clients and understand project plans, specifications, and contractual documents.

* Prepare project estimates, budgets, schedules, and assist in contract negotiations.

* Monitor project adherence through job site meetings, progress reports, performance evaluations, and safety meetings.

* Work closely with architects and engineers to resolve design-related construction issues.

* Keep customers informed of project progress and negotiate fee changes as necessary.

* Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, tools, and supply needs to achieve project objectives.

* Purchase equipment and standardized materials, and ensure proper maintenance and repair of equipment.

* Manage administrative aspects of contracts, including change orders, billing, and collections.

* Maintain sound union relationships and participate in labor management committees.

* Complete job closeout processes, including resolution of punch list items and distribution of operating manuals.

* Strengthen customer relationships through participation in company-supported events.

* Attend annual divisional and departmental meetings and social functions.

* Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Essential Skills

* 5-10 years of construction experience, preferably with a mechanical background.

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

* Experience with project estimating or managing large-scale projects.

* Ability to work on field construction sites in various weather conditions.

* Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, piping, RFI, and change order management.

Skills & Qualifications

* 4-year BS degree in engineering or construction management preferred.

* 3-5 years of prior experience with mechanical contractors or general contracting on mission-critical projects.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

* Experience leading and guiding project teams or supervising field crews.

* Ability to track and maintain diverse project budgets.

Work Environment

This role supports the HVAC Division, specifically focusing on Data Center work. The primary project location is in Port Washington, with the option to work from the Wauwatosa office as needed. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deforest, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $98.00/hr.
