Overview

Our growing company is seeking to hire an Assembler
. As an employee/owner at MEC, you are responsible for assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM products.

A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include: Work from assembly drawings and specifications.

  • Assembles parts with the aid of verbal instructions, print(s) or sample parts.
  • Uses various types of riveting devices, hand tools, air guns and power devices to assemble parts.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Checks parts for quality and accuracy using basic inspection devices such as micrometers, verniers, scales, squares and gages.
  • Assembles prototypes with Engineering help.
  • Inspects parts for various types of cosmetic specifications.
  • Where required, must achieve certification in riveting.
  • Must be able to assemble at every station and process on the assembly line.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.

What

Does It Take to Be a Fit for This Role?
  • One to three months of related experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, work orders, and follow instructions.
  • Demonstrated detail orientation, self‑motivation skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Good finger and hand dexterity.
  • Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time. This position involves a lot of bending, twisting and lifting.
