Mercy Health Defiance Obstetrics and Genecology | Practice With Purpose

Mercy Health in Defiance, Ohio is seeking a certified nurse midwife or nurse practitioner to join our obstetrics and gynecology team. This opportunity offers a meaningful balance of patient care, professional growth, and community connection within a supportive, mission-driven environment. Position Highlights
  • Outpatient-focused position with the option to support inpatient needs depending on experience and interest
  • Average patient volume of 16-20 per day
  • Call rotation of every 10 days
  • Collaborative practice with engaged physicians and established APCs
  • Opportunity to practice with a strong degree of autonomy while supported by a cohesive team
  • A steady patient panel and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships
  • Participation in quality improvement efforts, patient education, and professional development
Core Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage women's health needs across the continuum of care
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic results as appropriate

    Provide clear and compassionate patient education and counseling
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to maintain high standards of care
  • Contribute to seamless care coordination and healthy communication across the team
