Overview
MBX Manufacturing and Lean Engineer
Supports production operations through the continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Operates with a Lean mindset, seeking to identify and resolve areas of opportunity.
Responsibilities- Identifies, plans, and implements activities designed to reduce costs while improving quality, safety, and delivery methods.
- Implements and drives continuous improvement activities through the application of change management and best practices.
- Develops Value Stream Mapping (VSM) plans for assigned facilities. Builds Kaizen plans and roadmaps for identified areas of opportunity.
- Supports regular President’s Kaizen events.
- Develops corrective action plans based on Lean assessments.
- Upholds cost reduction programs to achieve annual operational savings objectives.
- Trains colleagues on best practices for Lean techniques and methodologies. Serves as subject matter expert.
- Monitors and audits key performance indicators (KPI’s) to ensure data is valid and accurate and makes recommendations for root cause problem-solving actions.
- May require travel to other facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to clearly communicate project performance and results to Management and prepare associated presentations as needed.
- Proficient in facilitating consensus among diverse viewpoints within a group, even amidst differing opinions.
- Demonstrated track record of thriving in team environments and strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience required.
Experience Requirements
- Three years of engineering experience required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong background in Lean manufacturing and engineering.
