Member Services Representative
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt (Hourly)
Reports to: General Manager
Special Requirements- Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within required time frames and be physically capable of performing CPR/AED in an emergency.
- Obtain tanning certification within the required time frame.
The Member Services Representative is responsible for creating a positive member experience by delivering superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Greet members, prospective members, and guests with exceptional customer service.
- Handle all front‑desk activities, including:
- Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with a variety of questions.
- Checking members into the system.
- Processing new member sign‑ups.
- Providing tours to prospective members.
- Facilitate necessary updates to members' accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally; elevate issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
- Perform cleaning duties required to maintain club neatness and cleanliness.
- Exceptional customer service skills; ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co‑workers, exceeding member expectations.
- Passion for fitness and health.
- Upbeat, professional, and positive attitude.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Diplomatic in all interactions, using appropriate behavior and language.
- Hard‑working, enthusiastic, and energetic.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification and tanning certification as required.

EnvironmentWork is performed in an indoor environment with exposure to noise, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals.
Physical RequirementsPrimary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand for prolonged periods, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements; occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight (up to 50 lbs); and communicate verbally in person or on the phone. Physical ability to administer CPR during an emergency is required.
