Key responsibilities include:
- Equipment Inspection:
Inspecting rigging equipment before use and maintaining it regularly
- Load Planning:
Planning and executing lifts, considering factors like load weight, size, and environmental conditions
- Safety Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to UK health and safety regulations and company policies
- Communication:
Coordinating with crane operators, team members, and other stakeholders
- Team Leadership:
Supervising junior riggers and promoting a safety-first culture
Typically, a NVQ Level 3 Rigger requires:
- 3+ years of experience in rigging or a related field
- NCCCO certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and UK regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
