Title:

Work Based Learning Practitioner - Construction

Location: Deeside

Contract Type: Permanent: full time

Salary: £ 33,912 - £38,218.

Responsibilities
  • The practitioner will assess the full range of qualifications in line with Awarding organisation requirements linked to skills and occupational competence.
  • They will work with a caseload of learners determined by the relevant college caseload formula.
  • The Practitioner will assess Training Needs for learners, enrol on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities as well as delivery of underpinning knowledge sessions to learners either on a 1-1 or workshop basis (recommended maximum group size
    8).
  • To monitor learners' progress towards qualifications, give them constructive feedback and guide them to prepare an e-portfolio of evidence.
  • To assess learner portfolios and present completed portfolios for internal quality assurance.
Essential Requirements
  • A professionally relevant qualification at minimum of Level 3 or equivalent
  • Possess or be willing to work towards an assessors qualification (TAQA)
  • Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Proven industry experience within a professionally relevant area
  • Experience of liaising and partnering with external managers in industry
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards within education.

Welsh Language skills are an essential requirement for this role, however Welsh learners with the ability to reach a Level 3 within a 2 year period are also encouraged to apply. Welsh learners will need to be at Level 2 and demonstrate a commitment to achieving fluency. Coleg Cambria are committed to supporting this development through a tailored professional development plan.

A Welsh Language skills assessment will form part of the selection process to identify competence, confidence and suitability for a development plan.

This includes access to tailored Welsh language training plans as well as incentive payments for bilingual delivery and services.
