ResponsibilitiesThe practitioner will assess the full range of qualifications within the relevant subject area in line with awarding organisation requirements. The successful candidate will hold Electrical Engineering industry experience and will manage a caseload of learners, undertake a Training Needs Analysis, facilitate enrollment in suitable courses, and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities. The practitioner will deliver underpinning knowledge sessions to learners either on a one‑on‑one basis or in a workshop format with a recommended maximum group size of eight participants.
EssentialRequirements
- A professionally relevant qualification at a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent
- Possess or be willing to work towards an assessor qualification (TAQA)
- Possess or be willing to work towards a Quality Assurance qualification (currently 401 TAQA Unit)
- Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above
- Possess or be willing to work towards a Digital Literacy Level 2 qualification
- Experience of liaising and partnering with external managers in industry
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to the maintenance and development of quality standards within education
- Competent in a range of digital technologies tools and applications, including Google and Microsoft products, proactive with new technologies and developments
- Able to plan and manage own workload, ensuring deadlines are met
- Excellent time management and organisational skills

It therefore requires an Enhanced DBS with Barred List check, and applicants must disclose all cautions and convictions, including spent ones. It is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children. Disclosure will not automatically prevent employment; a risk assessment will be carried out.
Depending on the position, successful candidates may also need to register with the Education Workforce Council.
