Job SummaryMiller Electric is seeking a Journey‑level Electrician who will install, troubleshoot, repair, demolish, maintain, layout, clean up, remodel, or otherwise support electrical work in a variety of settings, such as construction sites, existing facilities, roadways, industrial, healthcare, service, commercial, governmental, and other facets of the electrical industry. State licensure is helpful but not required; a minimum of four years of experience in electrical construction may be documented.

- Perform repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Execute skilled tasks demanding high manual and technical competency.
- Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
- Repair malfunctions by replacing burned‑out elements, fuses, defective wiring, cleaning and repairing motors.
- Test electrical equipment (motors, heaters, controls) for safety and efficiency using standard test equipment.
- Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment.
- Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
- Demonstrate knowledge of security and fire alarm systems.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Perform manual labor such as:
- Manual excavation
- Bending pipe
- Pulling wire
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Working with hands overhead
- Using heavy equipment
- Using power tools
- Minimum 1,200 field hours documented and verifiable on a commercial job site.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of the electrical trade.
- Initiative and ingenuity to analyze situations and make technical decisions based on specifications and electrical codes.
- Ability to sustain considerable physical effort at frequent intervals.
- Currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis without employer sponsorship; employment‑based visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
