As a Principal Project Manager at Capital One, you will lead critical and strategic business projects, working closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that directly impact the company’s bottom line. • Support Client Management teams in developing campaigns, marketing collateral, business presentations, and pitch decks
• Act as a contact for vendor management and marketing agency partnerships
• Develop and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and external partners, including written reports, executive summaries, and communications to support sales initiatives
• Work on large and small‐scale projects that have a direct impact on the company
• Manage programs and portfolios for change initiatives prioritized by the organization
• Drive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope, timelines, and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate or elevate as needed
• Plan, design, and manage project plans to ensure delivery, including feasibility, design, planning, and implementation phases
• Leverage problem‑solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key documentation
• Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to drive delivery
• Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure commitment delivery and alignment on intent
• Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes
• Exhibit a proven track record of project management, quickly establishing structure to manage work
• Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills essential for interacting with stakeholders at all levels
• Show organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
• Display strong consulting and collaboration skills

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
• At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office or G Suite
• At least 2 years of Project Management, Process Management, or Relationship Management experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
• 3+ years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or Relationship Management
• PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification

Salary ranges for this role are:

• Chicago, IL: $106,700 - $121,700
• Riverwoods, IL: $106,700 - $121,700

This role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
