Join the Walgreens Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship program. This role focuses on patient‑centric pharmacy service and offers a pathway to PTCB certification.

$17.00/hr – $20.50/hr

Walgreens offers the “Earn while you learn” Pharmacy Technician Training Program, recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor. The apprenticeship guides trainees toward becoming PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technicians, providing technology, support, and hands‑on experience.

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions accurately.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
• Adhere to the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policy.
• Manage cash registers, handle cash, and process OTC sales.
• Process telephone calls for physicians and other non‑pharmacist needs.
• Enter patient and drug data into pharmacy systems and ensure accuracy.
• Assist pharmacists with clinical services such as collecting and labeling samples.
• Support inventory management activities: ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain relationships with the local medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, and complete special assignments.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program.
• Attend manager‑requested training and acquire continuing education credits.
• Stay current with healthcare and pharmacy news and developments.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription counting, measuring, and weighing.
• Proficiency in computer use.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification status.
