Program Aide

One of our clients is seeking Program Aides/Residential Staff in the Lincolnshire area to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

• Monday - Friday 7am-3pm
• Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm
• Saturday 7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm
• Sunday 7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm

• Assist with daily needed tasks which fall under kitchen, housekeeping and program needs.
• Assist with reinforcer set-up for clients; make coffee/tea, pour sodas, rinse coffee/tea pots.
• Assist with lunchroom duties; wash tables, plate lunches, set up water pitchers and lunch bags, assist clients with aprons.
• Assist with housekeeping duties; help to set-up tables/chairs for choice groups, clean sinks, toilets and mirrors, replenish paper products.
• Assist the program needs; assist in assigned core groups for activities, assist with client toileting.
• May be acted upon aggressively from clients; i.e., hitting, kicking, slapping, biting and punching.

• Verbal communication skills necessary to interact with clients and staff.
• Completion of client orientation and training program.
• Experience and/or willingness to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to provide physical support to resident if they are unsteady or falling.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to provide physical management procedures in conjunction with behavior programs as trained and assigned.
• Complete incident reports as necessary.
