Dell Driving Technician / Field Service Technician

Job Type: Long term contract / contract to permanent
Location: Deerfield, IL (jobs in multiple US locations)

Job Role / Duties:

• Travel to customer locations from the specified pickup parts location.
• Visit both business offices and residences to repair, troubleshoot, and perform break‑fix support on computers, desktops, laptops, and printers.
• Use personal vehicle to travel for service calls; expected travel up to 300 miles per week within a 50–70 mile radius of the pickup location.
• Work primarily with Dell products (prior experience is a plus).
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner while interacting with customers.
• Be available for overtime work.

Required Skills:

• A+ Certification (training or expired status accepted).
• Certification from Dell or another product manufacturer is a plus.
• Strong experience with laptops and desktops.
• Experience with break‑fix support.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

• Background check and driving record required upon job offer.
• Complete Dell certification training (online, free).
• Accept contract agreement terms and conditions.
• Pay is biweekly for approved hours.
• Mileage reimbursed – discuss details with recruiter.
• Maintain a backup vehicle in case of breakdown.
