Job DescriptionAs the Art Director for our internal agency, Creative X, you will help shape how Fortune Brands Innovations’ brands connect with consumers and professionals through thoughtful, engaging creative experiences.
In this role, you will combine conceptual thinking, design craft, and brand stewardship to create meaningful creative that supports consumer engagement, empowers professional customers, strengthens brand equity, and contributes to business growth across our mass premium and luxury portfolios.
You will partner with teams across Fortune Brands Innovations’ business units to bring cohesive creative to life, with an initial focus on our Water business, including brands such as Moen and House of Rohl.
Working closely with Brand, Product, Channel, and cross-functional partners, you will translate insights and strategy into cohesive creative across integrated campaigns, digital content, social storytelling, photography, video, retail environments, packaging, and experiential activations, including showroom experiences, trade shows, and large-scale brand events.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with diverse teams, guiding creative exploration, and nurturing ideas from concept through execution. A strong understanding of brand systems, elevated design aesthetics, and integrated storytelling will help ensure our creative work remains consistent, inspiring, and culturally relevant.
Experience exploring GenAI and AI-powered creative tools to support ideation, design exploration, and creative workflows is also valuable.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective fall 2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant work spaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.
What You Will Be Doing Brand & Campaign Development- Help shape art direction across integrated campaigns for all business units ensuring creative work feels cohesive, insight-driven, and aligned with brand strategy.
- Translate consumer insights, brand positioning and business goals into engaging creative concepts, visual storytelling, and campaign experiences.
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and cross-functional partners to create creative that encourages connection, engagement, and brand preference.
- Support the premium and luxury expression of our brands through refined visual systems, thoughtful design execution, and carefully crafted photography direction.
- Concept and develop creative for experiential moments, including trade shows, showroom environments, events and retail installations.
- Partner with brand and retail teams to design immersive brand experiences that bring product stories and innovation to life.
- Ensure experiential and retail creative aligns with brand systems while creating memorable and welcoming brand interactions.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Product and other teams to understand goals and shape creative solutions that support both brand expression and business needs.
- Share creative ideas and visual direction with stakeholders in a way that builds understanding, trust and alignment.
- Act as a thoughtful creative partner, helping teams clarify opportunities, refine briefs and move ideas forward collaboratively.
- Guide art direction across photo and video shoots as well as CGI development, supporting composition, lighting, styling and storytelling.
- Support and mentor designers and junior creatives, helping nurture creativity, curiosity and continuous growth.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of brand guidelines and visual systems so they remain consistent, modern and culturally relevant.
- Explore and apply GenAI and emerging creative technologies to support ideation, expand visual exploration and enhance creative workflows.
