Housekeeping Houseman

Overview

The Houseman plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and overall appearance of the resort. This position involves support in housekeeping operations, ensuring that guest areas and rooms are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and service. Housemen will work closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. As an On-call houseman - your flexibility is vital, responding to last minute requests to pick up a shift when necessary.

• Assist housekeeping staff with the preparation and cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and pools, are consistently clean, well-maintained, and furnished.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities, towels, or assistance.
• Help in the transportation of linens, supplies, and equipment, ensuring proper inventory levels.
• Participate in deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance tasks as directed by management.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department immediately.
• Support the setup and breakdown of events or meetings as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas and back-of-house facilities.

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or maintenance role preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation practices in a hospitality setting.
