The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across all Straticon entities. This position ensures full compliance with applicable federal and state regulations while maintaining precise records of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions. The Payroll Analyst works collaboratively with the Director of Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy, proper expense allocation, and on‑time tax and benefits reporting.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing- Process payroll for all Straticon companies accurately and within established deadlines.
- Review and verify all employee timesheets, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained prior to processing.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are properly coded and posted to the correct cost centers, departments, or projects.
- Verify and process payroll adjustments, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling all payroll data.
- Ensure payroll tax deposits are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, including Forms 941, 940, and W‑2s.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Reconcile payroll tax reports and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Serve as the primary benefits administrator, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) plans.
- Process benefit deductions, 401(k) contributions, and miscellaneous payroll with holdings (child support, garnishments, etc.) accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate with benefit providers and ensure timely remittance of benefit payments.
- Organize, maintain, and update all payroll‑related records and documentation in compliance with company policy and audit requirements.
- Upload and record all payroll changes and employee documentation in company software systems.
- Maintain complete and accurate employee payroll files and ensure data integrity.
- Work closely with the Director of Accounting in reviewing and verifying payroll data prior to final release.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and management teams to ensure alignment between payroll, benefits, and personnel records.
- Support audits and provide payroll documentation as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi‑entity or construction industry environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
This position operates in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. The Payroll Analyst will coordinate closely with the Director of Accounting, who reviews and releases all payroll funds.
